The all-new L200 pickup truck sets new standards for its rivals in the UK market and however, the model itself hasn’t achieved any excellent sales figures. This iconic Japanese built L200 is giving tough time to the Toyota Hilux across the globe and in the UK as well. The Hilux has become a status symbol in the UK pickup market when BBC Top Gear make multiple episodes on the vehicle and Jeremy Clarkson and James May with its team has done a great job to prove it a world leader in the pickup trucks. On the other hand, the L200 doesn’t achieve its status by these kinds of tricks but with its actual performance. The L200 comes with one engine and produces two power outputs where a 2.4-Litre Mitsubishi L200 engine generates 158bhp and delivers an excellent torque of 380Nm. Mitsubishi has re-engineered the L200 chassis with reinforced materials to handle the load. In 2018 model, it has been further improved to tow a load of exactly 3.5 tons from its limited edition of 3.1 tons. The new L200 can tow 3500kg weight on the tarmac in both 2wd and all-wheel drive settings. The L200 gets power from the series 5 Mitsubishi L200 Engines.
