Nissan Engine History
Nissan is one of the largest Japanese automaker in the world and has their headquarters in the Japan. It is also the sixth largest automaker in the world behind the General Motors as of the records of 2011. Nissan was previously marketed under the Datsun brand and in 1999, the company, as Nissan, was engaged in an alliance with the Renault SA France. It was a two way alliance between two companies where Nissan holds up 15 percent of the Renault and they owned 44 percent of Nissan as of 2008. Nissan is also involved in the production of luxury brands as Infinity cars. Nissan was established in 1933 in the result of automobile operations overtaken from the DATSUN division of the automobile manufacturing of Tobata Casting Co., Ltd, changed the name as Nissan Motor Co., Ltd., in 1934. Yoshisuke Aikawa, founded the Nissan Combine and developed the strategies for mass production. During the World War II, the production of the trucks and all other automobiles was totally stopped. In 1944, the company again changed their name as Nissan Heavy Industries Ltd. After the end of war, Nissan again started their production process and in September 1945 first model of Nissan rolled off the assembly line. In August 1949, the Nissan Motor Co. Ltd., was again re-established as company's official name. Nissan Motor Company acquired an equity interest share in the Mensei Diesel Co. that is now known as Nissan Diesel Co. In 1950 and in 1952 they made an agreement with the Austin Martin Co. of UK. It was a technological agreement and 1953 was a year for the Nissan workers when they established an all Nissan Workers Union. In 1958, the Nissan Motor Co, started their exports of passenger cars to the USA and in 1960 they established their company in the USA as Nissan Motor Co. In 1976, the company started their full scale operations in the Australia as the Nissan Motor Manufacturing Co. Nissan made an agreement with Volkswagen AG and started production of Sentara February 1984. Nissan European Technology Centre was established by the Nissan UK in 1988. In 1990 Nissan achieved its production of 50 million units from all the resources. In 2008 Nissan was endorsed as the ECO First company.
