Peugeot business was founded in France in 1810 by a family with the production of coffee mills and bicycles however, in November 1858, Emile Peugeot registered their trademark as a Lion and the first car by the Peugeot was developed and designed by the Armand Peugeot and it was an unreliable steam tricycle with the efforts of Leon Serpollet in 1889. It has a large production plant and museum in the Sochux France. Peugeot introduced their first mass produced car in 1929 with the new numbering system as the 201. It was the first car that used the iconic numbering system of three digits with a zero in the middle. It was the system that began the era of mass production.
